In just a few months, the all new Toyota Camry will hit the showrooms across Australia with a new look and some new technology under the hood.

It’s the end of an era, as Toyota’s Australian Camry production ends, the new model will be fully imported, but Toyota are not Robinson Crusoe in the space with Holden and Ford joining them.

This 2017 Camry has a familiar look with a few solid tweaks to the design.

The platform underneath is a new lightweight and high-strength structure offering 30% more stiffness, while the new Camry also features LED headlights, electric park-brake a 10 inch colour head-up-display and 8 inch touch screen infotainment.

For the driver the centre of the instrument cluster is a new 7 inch multi-function display too.

Executive director of sales and marketing for Toyota Australia Tony Cramb says the new Camry will offer a great experience for drivers  “Driving enthusiasts in particular will appreciate the next-generation hybrid Camry that is engineered to provide spirited performance and driving enjoyment along with impressive gains to fuel efficiency,” Mr Cramb said.

“At the same time, Camry retains the proven, dependable and safe reputation that has made it Australia’s top-selling mid-size car for almost a quarter of a century,”

The new Camry will feature the latest Toyota Hybrid system, with a new 2.5 litre direct-incjection engine, with the second option being a new 3.5 litre V6 engine.

Looks good, can’t wait to test out that dash-board tech.
