I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Google Glass is silly. It has applications, but for widespread use, it’s just not there yet. However, those crazy cashed up folks at Google may just have found the next big thing and they’ve purpose built it. The self-driving car.
For years now, Google have been testing the self-driving car. Strapping equipment into and onto existing cars for testing. But if you were to truly imagine the world where self-driving cars are a daily use, perhaps it would look very different.
Perhaps it would be more of a “pod” than a car. No steering wheel required.
Google’s own self-driving car, announced by Google co-founder Sergey Brin is something to behold – and really is the first rethink of road transportation for the future that we’ve seen in some time.
