Rally car is a dangerous sport – not just for the drivers, but for the spectators who like to get close to the action. As this photographer found out in this amazing video, sometimes nature can save your life.
Watching the clip a few times, it’s almost impossible to tell that the white hatchback driver has lost control of his vehicle until the moment he crashes it into the tree. The photographer wouldn’t have had any chance to move to protect himself, which just goes to show how lucky he was to be situated behind the tree in the first place.
Hopefully he managed to get some awesome shots before he was knocked to the ground in fear as the car careened into the tree. Honestly though, he’s probably just happy to be alive at this point…
