  • Renault RS Replay review – a standout in-car data logging system

Increasingly performance vehicles are utilising highly sophisticated data logging systems. Lap times, G-forces, acceleration and many more mind-blowing Motorsport inspired stats can be viewed in real-time or recorded for analysis later. EFTM have experienced such awesomeness in the Nissan GT-R, Chrysler 300 SRT8 and even the luxurious but tame...
  • Cancel The Noise With Soul headphones

Long haul flights or even brief domestic commutes can be torturous when unwanted noise invades your experience. There are the loud talkers, the poor family struggling with an uncooperative infant or simply the drone of the engines. With little assistance from the standard disposable ear phones on offer, there...
  • The EFTM Garage – Chrysler 300 SRT8

We’ve already sampled the epic Chrysler 300 SRT8 Core. A brutal, hulking machine that produces an almost rude amount of 6.4-litre V8 power for a large luxury sedan. So we thought it would be more than appropriate to get our hands on its more well-healed counterpart, the top spec...
  • Nissan Pathfinder – Destined to be a big hit on Aussie roads

Australia is undoubtedly a SUV loving nation, it’s nuts for them. There’s also no doubt they have played a huge role in dispatching the much-loved homegrown, dinky-di sedan into oblivion and it’s easy to see why. Nissan has now revamped its previously rugged and gutsy Pathfinder revealing a sleek,...
  • Holden Barina RS test drive – hotter than stock but not quite a hot-hatch

Beep beep Barina! Who can forget those annoying early 90’s commercials? The “Holden” Barina has been a perennial Aussie favourite since the mid 80’s. Over the years sourced from Suzuki, Opel and even Daewoo. But now it has an RS badge, and a turbo. But still that pathetic beep beep horn....
  • How do you like your Turkey? New release – Wild Turkey Spiced

The innovators at the world-famous Wild Turkey Bourbon factory in Kentucky have released Wild Turkey Spiced. Essentially their Kentucky Spiced Bourbon has been enhanced with a combination of natural spices. Flavors of vanilla and caramel, with hints of clover & cinnamon literally spice up the already satisfactory 86 proof...
  • The EFTM Garage – Nissan Pathfinder

The Nissan Pathfinder has turned a tad posh. Gone is the robust truck-like chassis replaced by decent, civil and family friendly underpinnings. With seven seats and a world class petrol V6, the all new Nissan Pathfinder will no doubt be a tempting proposition. The base ST and top tier...
  • The EFTM Garage – Holden Barina RS Hatch 6-speed automatic

The Holden Barina is a car that hardly inspires thoughts of rapid cornering, blistering acceleration, race tuned suspension and a hardcore engine note. But what about when a RS badge and turbo are bolted on? Well you still get none of the above, but what you do get is...
  • Behind the wheel of another hot-hatch : Renault Clio RS200 Sport

I’m not sure about you, but I’m a large, powerful, luxury sedan type of man. My logic revolves around purchasing the largest possible piece of metal for your buck. So when a silly little hatchback comes my way via “The EFTM Garage” I usually behave like a kid whose...
  • The EFTM Garage – Renault Clio TCe120 Dynamique

It is hard to fathom just how many sophisticated hatch backs have inundated the market in recent times. Outside of the handful of legitimate “hot hatch” contenders the rest make do with milk bottle capacity engines, with moderate to surprising performance results.  This week in The EFTM Garage is...
  • BMW 328i Review – Dynamically blessed with a surprisingly throaty roar

Dynamically blessed, world renowned and the very definition of a status symbol. Yes, it’s BMW. As far as compact executive sedans go there are really only the two other Germans, Mercedes and Audi.   So what’s so premium about a 60k plus European sedan? Turns out quite a bit. EFTM...
  • The EFTM Garage – Mazda 6 Touring Wagon

It’s almost unanimous that Mazda are pumping out some seriously good looking cars right now. With the delightful Mazda 3 just around the corner it seems the Japanese giant are certain to maintain their sales chart success.  The impressive Mazda 6 range is again no exception and this fortnight...
  • The “other” muscle car you have to hear and drive – Chrysler 300c SRT Core

Surely “the muscle car” is facing a bleak future? With Aussie made examples rapidly facing extinction, the days of plonking a fat V8 into a family sedan are sadly drawing to a close. So other than exotic overpriced Europeans, where into the future can diehards find horsepower Nirvana? In...
  • The EFTM Garage – BMW 328i Sport Line

It’s been a busy time for the EFTM garage, we’ve just seen off BMW’s little hatch, the 116i. Now sits probably the German’s most popular variant, the 3 series. On offer this week is the 328i Sport Line. With surprising power and that familiar BMW drive, here is a...
  • The EFTM Garage – Chrysler 300c SRT8 Core

As far as large luxury sedans go, the Chrysler 300 series does it pretty darn well. Well how about chucking an enormously large capacity V8 under the hood? This week EFTM has in the garage the SRT8 Core, a stripped back, financially more accessible variant of the flagship SRT8....
