Fetch TV becomes the home of UFC including Mayweather vs. McGregor pay-per-view

Another sign Fetch is a serious Aussie platform

Fetch TV have announced their subscribers will be able to watch the much anticipated Floyd Mayweather v Connor McGregor fight on Fetch TV as a Pay per View option.

At $59.95 the fight will cost the same as it would on Foxtel’s Main Event channel, but will be the first marquee event on Fetch TV using Pay per view.

It comes as Fetch become the UFC’s Australian broadcast partner, and after a successful pay-per-view launch with the Cormier v Jones fight last weekend.

UFC Senior Vice President, International and Content, Joe Carr said of the partnership: “We are excited to be in business with Fetch TV to grow our broadcast offering in Australia.

“Fetch’s sizeable subscriber base, along with its comprehensive network of ISP and retail partners offers UFC a unique opportunity to extend our distribution footprint to reach new fans and continue the dramatic growth of UFC’s brand and the sport of MMA in Australia.”

Scott Lorson, CEO of Fetch TV said: “We are constantly upgrading our content offering, and today’s news represents another exciting addition for our subscribers. We’ve already seen huge interest in the Mayweather McGregor fight and look
forward to August 27th.”

Access is easy, Fetch subscribers can purchase the event using their remote control at Menu>Manage> Subscriptions from Monday, August 14th, and watch on Channel 991 from 11am on Sunday August 27th.
