After announcing new features earlier this year streaming service Stan has been quick to deliver with content downloads now enabled allowing for offline viewing.

Available after an app update, subscribers can now download their favourite shows with the tap of a downward pointing arrow, and those files are then able to be viewed where there is no internet connection, such as a long drive, on a flight, or where you want to save your mobile data.

Ironically Stan was announced as a streaming service that will operate on the new Qantas in-flight internet – but with just one plane in the air, downloads are going to be your best option.

Not all content is licensed for download use, but a quick looks shows the most popular shows ready to go and download now.
