When Kogan Mobile was reborn in October last year as a wholesale customer of the Vodafone Network there was just one thing that worked against them as an option when comparing telcos – 3G vs 4G.  That’s gone now as Kogan Mobile customers see the 4G symbol light up on their smartphones this week.

After some speculation yesterday from users Kogan has announced today their entire customer base is now on 4G (earlier than had been anticipated) meaning higher speeds for existing and new customers via the Vodafone 4G network.

In addition to confirming the 4G switch today, Kogan has also added a new plan at the upper end for their prepaid users to choose on recharge.

unnamedThe new 11GB data pack comes with a $49.95 30 day recharge, and has a 1GB bonus data inclusion for those keen on the limited time offer.

At the same time their 5GB plan at $36.95 has also been boosted with an additional 2GB of data.

Sadly the cut price discounting on the lower plans has ended, but there’s still solid value in all these Kogan plans for prepaid customers.
