As a man with a beard, but not the full bushy beard, there’s a constant need to trim, and shave.  You’ve got to keep the edges need and the whiskers trimmed and until now that has required two separate devices. Not any more – check out the Philips StyleShaver which does both.

The concept is rather simple.  Take an electric razor, flip it around and put a trimmer on the other end.

Trim length is set by a dial on the centre of the StyleShaver which pushes up or down the trim guide (12 length settings from 0.5 – 10mm in 0.5mm intervals) in similar fashion to the Philips clippers we’ve talked about before.

The feeling of the trimmer is very different to a traditional set of clippers because you hardly feel like the whiskers are getting into the clippers but the result is as good as any other clippers.

In addition you’ve got two clippers which rotate around to give you a more intricate trimmer or the standard clipper.

Up the other end the electric shaver is excellent.  Perhaps its because I’ve not changed or sharpened the blades of my normal electric razor, or if it’s the Philips shaver itself, but the cut is excellent, while smooth, I can hear and feel every whisker being cut.

What you end up with is a single device to trim the beard, edge the beard and shave your neck and other areas depending on how fancy your beard is.

Great product, well worth a look.  Available exclusively from Shaver Shop stores for $149.95.
