After announcing record presales figures, it was almost a given that a new record would be set for first weekend sales of the new iPhone 6 and 6 Plus – Today, Apple announced 10 million iPhones were sold in the first three days.
On sale in Australia, the US, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore and the UK – a staggering 10 million new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus devices were sold in three days from September 19.
Apple CEO Tim Cook summed up the sales figures “Sales for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus exceeded our expectations for the launch weekend, and we couldn’t be happier,”
If you want a new iPhone, the wait is at least 7-10 days on a couple of models, while most are on a 3-4 week waiting period.
Looks like Apple have done it again – and the market analysts will be watching with interest as more sales figures come out in the months ahead.
