Last week’s Nissan 370Z was a tease, and at the same time a fantastic warm-up for this week’s driving pleasure.  Read below for the mind blowing details of the beast that sits this week in the EFTM Garage

Nissan GTR - Premium Edition

Nissan GTR – Premium Edition

Drivetrain: All-Wheel-Drive (AWD)

Standard Features: Take a deep breath – AWD, Traction Control System (TCS), Advanced Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) with three driver-selectable settings (Normal, R-Mode, Off), Hill Start Assist, handcrafted 6-speed dual clutch transmission with three driver-selectable settings (Normal, R-Mode, Save), R-Mode start function (Launch control), SynchroRev Matching, paddle shifters, Nissan Brembo brakes, three mode Bilstein DampTronic suspension system (Normal, R-mode, Comfort), 20 inch RAYS aluminum wheels with blue-black chrome colour finish, Dunlop SP SPORT MAXX DSST CTT run-flat nitrogen filled tyres, aluminum bonnet, boot lid and outer door skins, carbon-fiber rear spoiler, automatic super wide beam headlight with High-Intensity Discharge (HID) low beam with washers, LED Daytime running lights, heated side mirrors, two dual 5 inch exhaust outlets, Bose audio system with 11 speakers including dual subwoofers, 9.3 GB hardrive, full Bluetooth connectivity, 7 inch colour touch screen Multi-Function display, satellite navigation, reversing camera, Drive-configurable Multi-Function display with readouts of vehicle data displayed on a total of 10 screens, keyless entry with push start, dual zone air conditioning, 8-way power driver’s seat with black leather accented front seats with synthetic suede inserts.

Safety highlights: Full suite of airbags, VDC, ABS, AWD and Nissan Anti-Theft System.

Wow Factor: Staggering road presence, unbelievable and quite frankly scary performance.

Most Impressive: R-mode start function. Flick a few switches, jump on the brake, floor the accelerator up to 4000 rpm, let go and have your license eradicated in less than 3 seconds. Almost impossible levels of handling.

Not so impressive: Speed humps and steep inclines are the GT-R’s number 1 enemy. Back seat is basically useless.

Early verdict: One of the greatest cars on earth. Is there anything else left to say?
