Last week the famous Aussie family owned brewery, in conjunction with Emirates Leisure Retail Australia, set up shop at Sydney Airport’s T2 Domestic Terminal with the opening of the first Coopers Alehouse in Sydney.

The concept bar will offer thirsty and hungry travellers a wide selection of food and beverages. For those on the end of a red eye from Perth a new Hudsons Coffee outlet is also operating.

Most of Coopers’ delicious brews are on tap, as well as bottled local and imported beers, wines and pre-mixed beverages. The menu will feature breakfast, lunch and dinner classics such as deli sandwiches, gourmet pizzas and entrée-sized light bites.

Executive Chairman of Coopers, Glenn Cooper, said the company was excited to be offering its iconic brand to millions of Australia’s travellers.

“The first Coopers Alehouse in Adelaide has been operating successfully since it opened, and we saw this as a fantastic opportunity to put the Coopers name in front of vast numbers of travellers from all over the country”

ELRA Managing Director, Adam Summerville, said Coopers and ELRA have had a robust longstanding relationship.

“ELRA’s track record as an effective partner and operator for brands is a key part of our ability to work with iconic names such as Coopers, and we hope to continue this success in future projects with them,” he said.

Coopers Alehouse at T2, Sydney Airport is open daily from 5am to 10.30pm. Expect to see EFTM’s Chris Bowen there sipping on a Coopers Sparkling Red Ale sometime down the track. (Trevor is strictly UDL man).
