Think plugging in your Xbox to your 65-inch television is satisfying? Imagine multiplying that by, let’s say a billion, to enjoy a little Tekken on a 29 metre high screen. That’s what happened last week in Sydney.

To launch Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Namco Bandai partnered with games site IGN to host a Tekken tournament at Sydney’s IMAX. Considering the Sydney IMAX screen is the world’s largest, measuring in at 29.42 metres high and 35.73 metres wide (about the equivalent of a 1,822 inch screen), the event also smashed the Guinness World Record for the largest screen ever used for a video game tournament.

Although it’s unlikely this record will be topped any time soon (given the Sydney IMAX screen is the largest in the world), it does make you wonder just how awesome it would be to play video games on those large screens at football stadiums, doesn’t it?
