To continue the celebration of its 50th anniversary in Australia, Lego got Australians to vote for their 10 favourite moments of the past 50 years, then recreated them in Lego. The results are awesome.

With everything from Steve Irwin feeding a croc while holding his baby to Nikki Webster at the opening ceremony of the 2000 Sydney Olympics (but sadly not her hit single Strawberry kisses, which can probably be found in Damo’s iTunes collection), the 10 moments will likely bring a smile to your face or a tear to your eye, depending on how much you love Lego.

Almost 14,000 votes were cast for the selection, which were collated and photographed by British photographer Mike Stimpson after weeks of playing with minifigs.
