If you thought Spotify was going to just lie down and let Telstra’s MOG come in and steal its customers, you’d be wrong. The streaming service today announced that its iOS apps now have access to the company’s radio service.
The new radio service is something that’s available on the desktop version of the service, and allows users to listen to music similar to a particular song, artist or playlist. With access to all of Spotify’s music tracks streamed over your mobile network, and the ability to like songs to save them for later in a special playlist. If you don’t like a song, skip it and Spotify will learn your preferences for next time.
Naturally, you need to be a Spotify premium subscriber to take advantage of the service, and it’s iOS only at this stage, although it should role out to Android in the coming weeks.
