The last time your better half got sick, what did you do for her? Did you buy her cold and flu tablets and hope for the best? 150 years ago, Thomas Cooper brewed the first batch of Coopers as medicine for his sick wife… You will never top that.

To celebrate the 150th anniversary of the first batch of Coopers, the family-owned and operated Australian brewery has put together this short history of the company. With fascinating insights into the origins of one of the country’s finest beers and the family behind it, it’s well worth a few minutes of your time.

150 years is an impressive milestone, moreso given that the company is still run by the Cooper family, with nine key roles within the company being held by a Cooper.

So, congratulations Coopers on the anniversary. To celebrate, I’m going to crack one of your fine bottles of stout.

Cheers
