The iPod Nano makes a pretty sweet watch, especially with the right band. But who needs a band anyway, especially when you can implant magnets in your arm to pin the Nano directly to your wrist?

Dubbed the iDermal, the project over at Kaleidoscope Kreative, sees tattoo artist Dave Hurban insert four magnets into his wrist to hold the diminutive iPod, without needing a strap or band. The video of the process is kind of graphic, but shows the entire process…

Of course, given Apple’s history of switching up the design of its iPod Nano lineup, we kind of hope Dave’s stocked up on the current version so the whole process wasn’t for nothing when his current Nano dies…
