Nothing like a bit of car porn to start the day. Ferrari has released an official video of the 2013 California being tested through the hilly roads around its base in Maranello, Italy.

Updates to the 2013 Ferrari California include a V8 engine that now kicks out 490 horses (that’s 30 more on top of the last model) thanks to revised exhaust manifolds and ECU tuning. The torque has also been modified to be higher across the engines rev range for more dynamic performance… Apparently it’s possible to make a Ferrari California more dynamic.

Curb weight has also been reduced, now down 66 pounds or around 30 kilograms. Add this to the engine upgrade and you’ll be dashing from 0-100kph in well under the four second mark.

Car blog MotorAuthority has also mentioned that there will be a Handling Speciale package that includes stiffer springs, a further modified ECU controlling Magnetorheological dampers and a new steering box with 10 per cent quicker steering ratio.

If you’re like us and enjoy your cars but don’t care too much for the specs, just press play on the video. That’s all the information you’ll need.
