The iPad’s massive size doesn’t make it the ideal portable music solution, but it does suit a home entertainment setup perfectly. Kogan think so too, and has released a dedicated iPad speaker system for just $199.

The speaker – which also supports iPhones and iPods in the docking arm and has a 3.5mm headphone jack for other music players – can also play back FM and internet radio stations via a free Kogan app. There are also equaliser settings, helping you get the most out of the system’s 2x 20W RMS 3 way speakers. A composite video out port lets you watch iPad video on a big screen, although the quality won’t be too good using that connector.

For under $200 though, a fully functioning iPad compatible speaker system is great value.
