Settling on what light fittings to use in your man cave can be a tough decision, but if you want to turn your walls into a well-lit work of art, it’s hard to go past these amazing wall mounted lamps from designer Giles Godwin-Brown.

Made from birch plywood with stainless steel and aluminium details, the Nepa and Candor lamps are designed as two dimensional artworks with three dimensional functionality.

The two metre high Nepa lamp uses friction hinges and LED lighting to look great as a two dimensional wall light, but an integrated pivot allows it to swing out away from the wall to be used as a practical spotlight.

The Candor lamp, meanwhile, uses LEDs hidden behind a cotton and timber design to create an illuminated halo around the wall mounted lamp design.

The catch, of course, is that the lamps are handmade, which means that they aren’t exactly cheap, with the Nepa lamp costing £1,250. Godwin-Brown s currently looking for manufacturing partners to turn the lamp into a commercial product, so fingers crossed the price will come down and it will become more readily available.
