If you work it hard like the Solo man and spend a lot of time outdoors conquering nature, Navman has released a satnav especially designed to help you find that remote corner of paradise.

Dubbed the MY Escape, the five-inch device features custom functions specifically designed for outdoorsy people, whether it be 4WD tracks from HEMA maps or information like narrow roads or weight restrictions. It can be paired with a rear AV camera for reversing functions, comes pre-installed with Lonely Planet travel guides and driver fatigue warnings to help you remember when to take a break.

The five-inch screen is also dust and water resistant, so it can handle the rough and tumble of the outback, probably better than your car can.

It launches this month for $599, which includes a lifetime subscription to SUNA traffic, plus two years worth of free map upgrades.
