Following hot on the heels of Apple’s Friday night announcement of iPad availability and pricing for Australia, Telstra has today announced it’s 3G data plan prices.
All plans are without contract, allowing you to activate or cancel at any time – just like the states – so that’s fantastic news for Australians.

Plans start at $20 for 1GB for 1 month, up to $100 for 12 GIG.
You need to buy the Telstra iPad pre-paid KIT which costs $30 – and normally only includes 1GB of data, but will give you the full $30 worth from activation (3GB)

“Telstra’s pricing for iPad 3G gives customers control and flexibility to access the Internet on-the-go while connected to the Telstra Next GTM network,” said Ross Fielding, executive director, Telstra Mobility Products.
“Telstra is providing Australians the ability to enjoy 3G on iPad in more places than on any other network.”
UPDATE: Telstra spokesman has confirmed they expect the packs in store on May 28, unlikely before – so you’ll need to duck across the road to a Telstra store if you’re in the City lined up for an iPad:)
